Ashitaba (Angelica keiskei) is a perennial herb native to Japan whose leaves, root and rhizome are harvested for use. It is traditionally used to support immune function, provide antioxidant and anti‑inflammatory benefits, and promote healthy liver and energy metabolism. Consumption may cause mild gastrointestinal upset in some people and the extract can interact with anticoagulant medications; it is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women without medical supervision.
